UUIDex Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Privacy summary: UUIDex collects only the information needed to run accounts, moderation, reports, security and integrations. We do not sell personal data.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use UUIDex, we may process account information such as your UUIDex username, email address and password hash; community reports and evidence links you submit; stolen-account submissions and contact details supplied for follow-up; appeals and disputes; staff/moderation records; and limited technical/security information such as IP addresses and request timestamps.

2. Minecraft identity information

UUIDex may store publicly available Minecraft: Java Edition identity information such as UUIDs, usernames observed by UUIDex, skin/cape URLs, lookup timestamps and aggregate search counts. UUIDex-observed usernames are not presented as an official Mojang username-history service.

3. Why we use information

We use information to operate UUIDex, authenticate accounts, process and moderate reports, investigate stolen/compromised account signals, handle appeals, prevent abuse, maintain audit records, improve reliability and support integrations such as the planned Discord bot and Minecraft plugin.

4. Cookies and local storage

UUIDex currently uses essential session cookies for signed-in accounts and browser local storage for preferences such as theme and acknowledging the cookie notice. These are used to make the site function and remember your settings. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking is added later, UUIDex should request any consent required before enabling it.

5. Sensitive information

Do not send passwords, authentication codes, recovery codes, full payment-card details or unrelated private information through reports or evidence. Where evidence contains sensitive information, redact anything that is not needed for the review.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. Data may be shared with service providers needed to operate UUIDex, where legally required, or where reasonably necessary to protect UUIDex, its users or others from abuse. Public community reports only display information intended for public display; private contact emails and internal staff notes are not intended to be public.

7. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including moderation, dispute handling, security and audit requirements. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plain text. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection. You may also ask UUIDex to review inaccurate information about you through the available appeal/dispute process.

9. Independent service

UUIDex is not affiliated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft, Xbox or Minecraft. Requests concerning an official Minecraft or Microsoft account, including account recovery or official enforcement, must be handled through the relevant official service.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as UUIDex develops. The date above will be updated when material changes are published.
